Skin tightening procedures tighten and lift saggy skin and smooth out wrinkles. The best candidates for skin tightening are those with early signs of aging skin who desire a more youthful appearance. What are my skin tightening options?
For severe skin laxity, the best treatment option is usually surgical removal of the loose skin. For mild to moderate skin laxity, we offer several non-surgical treatment options including plasmapen, micro-needling, IPL laser, TruSculpt, Botox and dermal fillers.
Plasmapen delivers plasma to the epidermis that stimulates collagen production. This results in significant contraction and tightening of the treated loose skin. This is our best skin tightening procedure for around the eyes and lower half of the face and neck. Only one treatment is needed for this 45 minute procedure. There is 5 days of downtime (you will see black dots on the treated skin), but the results last 3 years. The cost is about $500 per area.
Micro-needling is a device that delivers micropunctures to your skin to stimulate collagen production. This tightens, lifts and rejuvenates the treated skin. There is minimal discomfort and no downtime for this 40 minute procedure. We charge $325 for one treatment or 4 for $1200.
The Intense Pulse Light (IPL) device supplies energy to the deep dermis and subcutaneous tissue, resulting in tightening and lifting of the skin. Light from the IPL device is absorbed by fat and water in the tissue. This causes heating which stimulates new collagen growth and contraction of fat cells. This results in a decrease in wrinkles and loose skin which provides for a smoother and more youthful appearance.
The face, neck, upper chest, abdomen and thighs respond well to the IPL skin tightening procedure. There is mild discomfort with this 30 minute procedure. We charge $275 for one session or 3 for $800.
Trusculpt is used to permanently kill fat. Because is uses heat, it also tightens the skin over the treated area. Common areas treated include the chin and jawline, stomach and flanks, thighs and upper arms. The cost is $1000 per area.
Botox can slightly tighten the skin by relaxing the muscle under the wrinkled skin.
Dermal fillers can tighten the skin by adding volume under the loose skin.
